APPLICATIONS | WASTEWATER TREATMENT
Our experience in wastewater is unparalleled in the foam control industry. ESP has a full line of defoamers for municipal processes as well as industrial treatment, including package plants.
In addition to traditional WWT defoamers, we have chemistry that specifically targets the brown biological-based foam and froth generated in activated sludge processes. These nontoxic antifoams are very effective at very low dosage rates across all aeration processes, including UNOX/HPO, MBRs, and IFAS/MBBR applications. These products are equally effective in all types of sludge digestion to improve efficiency and gas production. Furthermore, use of these antifoams significantly improves the efficiency of chlorination and minimizes the impact on beneficial bacteria. Using FC REL in conjunction with chlorine is the fastest, easiest, and most economical way to reverse a filamentous foam upset. ESP’s foam control products really are a helpful tool to make things easier on the plant staff and more efficient in the process.
